The science

How a wearable
patch works.

Dadi ke nuskhe, science ke saath.

Every OMG patch is a thin layer that holds a measured blend of botanicals against your skin for up to 12 hours. Here’s what’s inside, how it’s made, and what we can and can’t promise.

Inside the patch

Three layers. One simple ritual.

Round, 2.5 cm across: about the size of a coin.

  1. 1
    Soft backing

A breathable outer layer that keeps the patch thin and flexible, so it moves with you.

  2. 2
    Botanical layer

Ingredients milled to under 50 microns, finer than a human hair, spread evenly across the patch. Every mg is listed on the tin.

  3. 3
    Skin-friendly adhesive

Water-resistant and hypoallergenic. Designed to stay on for up to 12 hours and peels off cleanly.

A day with a patch

Up to 12 hours, your way.

No water, no mixing, no timing around meals. Here’s the whole routine.

  1. BeforeClean, dry skin

Pick a spot with little hair (inner wrist, upper arm, shoulder or lower leg), wipe it with an alcohol wipe and let it dry.

  2. 0 hPeel and press

Press firmly for 10 seconds so the edges seal.

  3. 2–12 hWear it

Work, commute, train, shower. Keep it on as long as suits your day. If it starts to lift after a few hours, that’s normal.

  4. Up to 12 hPeel off and rotate

It comes off cleanly. Use a different spot tomorrow.

Use a fresh patch each day, and rotate between spots.

Straight talk

How a patch works, and what it doesn’t do.

A patch goes on your skin, not through your stomach. Your skin is built to keep things out, so we design around it:

  • No digestive detour. Ingredients aren’t swallowed, so they aren’t broken down by stomach acid or digestion first. They’re delivered through your skin, steadily, over the hours you wear it.
  • The 500 Dalton rule. Smaller molecules, generally under about 500 Dalton, cross the skin’s outer layer more easily. We favour actives in that range wherever we can, such as caffeine, L-theanine, curcumin and vitamin D3.
  • Fat-friendly ingredients. The skin’s outer layer is made mostly of fats, so fat-soluble (lipophilic) compounds pass through it more readily than water-soluble ones. We pair our botanicals with skin-friendly oils to help them along.
  • A patent-pending layered design. A soft backing, a botanical layer and a skin-friendly adhesive keep the blend in steady contact with clean skin for as long as you wear it.

How much of any ingredient passes through still depends on the ingredient, your skin and how long you wear the patch, so we don’t claim specific absorption rates. Not every ingredient fits these rules equally, which is why every mg is listed on the tin.

A patch supports your routine. It doesn’t replace one. You still need to drink plenty of water, eat well, sleep enough and move every day.

OMG patches are daily wellness products, not medicines. They aren’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and results vary from person to person.

Science questions.

Is OMG Patch a medicine?+

No. OMG patches are daily wellness products. They aren’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition or take medication, check with a healthcare professional first.

How do the ingredients get from the patch to me?+

The patch holds its blend against clean, dry skin for as long as you wear it, up to 12 hours. We favour small (under about 500 Dalton), fat-friendly actives, which cross the skin’s outer layer more readily. How much passes through still varies by ingredient, skin and wear time, so we don’t claim specific absorption rates.

Why are the ingredients micronized?+

We mill them to under 50 microns, finer than a human hair, so they spread evenly across the patch surface for steady contact with your skin.

Is it gentle on skin?+

Our patches are hypoallergenic, latex-free and paraben-free. Patch-test first if it’s your first time, don’t apply to broken or irritated skin, and remove the patch if you notice irritation.

Can I wear more than one patch?+

Yes. Different OMG patches can be worn on the same day, each on its own spot. Use one of each kind a day.

Where are the patches made?+

They’re designed in New York and made in an FDA-registered facility, with a patent application pending in India.
